Put On the Garment of Praise

Psalm 71:8. My mouth is filled with Your praise and with Your glory all day long.

If your mouth is full of praise, it will not be full of complaining.

When you’re continually praising and thanking the Lord from the heart, you’ll find it difficult to be critical and negative. Praise and thanksgiving transforms you into a positive, happy person that people like to be around.

The Spirit-filled life is a praise-filled life! The scripture says, “Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to yourself in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Ephesians 5:18-20).

Praise releases the life of God into your life. Praise releases the benefits of the New Covenant to you. Praise releases God’s victory into your situations and circumstances. Praise puts the angels to work!

When you’re in the midst of a test or trial, and heaviness and sorrow try to overtake you, remember that the joy of the Lord is your strength! (Nehemiah 8:10).

Put off the spirit of heaviness by putting on the garment of praise and you’ll walk in victory all of your days! (Isaiah 61:3).
