At any given moment, I may have over 50 items on my “to do” list. Not only that, but very often I have several different “to do” lists! Once while thinking about everything I need to do, the Lord showed me that out of all those things, “only one thing is necessary”. As in the story of Mary and Martha in Luke 10:38-42, every day only one thing is essential, and that is to take time to sit at the feet of Jesus and to hear His word! It’s not that the other things you need to do should not get done or will not get done, but that everything you need to do and will do flows out of your time spent with the Lord.
